TWICE AS NICE @ the colosseum

With so many promoters laying on Valentine events Cupid will be kept busy targeting prospective lovers this weekend. The pick of the bunch can be found at Twice As Nice's "hot'n'steamy Valentine's Party" in conjunction with Touch magazine. Often imitated but never duplicated, T.A.N. has set the standard for Sunday-night clubbing with its unique relaxed party vibe.

Tomorrow a sexy and immaculately dressed crowd will be treated to a feast of dark tunes in a venue that has been transformed into a romantic love nest.

The Dreem Teem spin the best underground vibes featuring Spoony, Norris "Da" Boss, EZ and Milan in the main room - with classic R'n'B joints in the Reminisce Room and the Party Room showcasing old-skool cuts there's music to suit every taste.

With live PAs, free roses for the first 100 ladies, free CDs and other giveaways available on the night the quality of this event is the only "dead cert" you can bank on this Valentine's.

Sundays, 1 Nine Elms Lane, Vauxhall, London SW8 (0171- 720 9200) 9pm- 3am pounds 8-pounds 10

THE BEST OF THE REST

NYMPH @ mass

The gigs at this venue just seem to be getting better and better and Nymph, running on the second Saturday of every month, remains right on the crest of the wave.

DJ Pierre and the legendary Marshall Jefferson jet in from the Windy City of Chicago to our not so warm capital to headline tonight's proceedings with support from Diesel, the excellent Tarun, Big C and Neil Hinde. Don't miss this one - the dancefloor will hum!

Tonight, St Matthews Church, Brixton London SW2 (0181-767 9925) 10pm- 6am pounds 10-pounds 12.

DAIQUIRI @ k bar

Following a few months "research" in South America, promoter Nick House returns to London with one of the best events in W1 so far in '99.

A formula of cheesy disco classics, fused with modern house anthems and a thick slice of Hedonism has had punters queuing down the street. Last Friday's event was so popular that the crowd spilled over the pavement blocking traffic.

If you're not on first name terms with the powers that be on the door make sure you get there early.

Fridays, 84 Wardour Street, London W1 (0171-439 4393) 10pm-4am pounds 10/pounds 5 members.
