The American stand-up Scott Capurro, one of the team captains on C4's new gay quiz, The Staying In Show, is a man for whom the adjective "waspish" could have been invented.

Much of his act concerns his sexual orientation, but audiences would be well-advised to think twice before complaining about it. "Some woman yelled out, `Change the subject'!" he recalls. "She didn't wanna hear any more about my being queer, so I destroyed her. Audiences are like children; if you allow them to see your weaknesses, they'll go after you." You have been warned.

The bill also features Paul Zerdin, Roger Monkhouse and Bruce Griffiths.
