Forget all about the proud men of traditional flamenco companies, their bodies pulsing, their feet exploding fierce patterns of percussive sound. Most of the stars of Spanish dance have been men, and although a few great women led their own companies in an earlier generation, they featured male soloists too. But Sara Baras brings an all-female backing group of eight dancers when she makes her London debut this week. Her show, Sensaciones, aims to recreate "the amorous atmosphere of a Spanish taverna". Luckily there are enough flamenco addicts to whom this will appeal. And there are men as well as women among the musicians who perform the music of Jesus del Rosario.

Sadler's Wells Theatre, London EC1 (0171 863 8000) 13-25 Sept at 8pm, except Sundays and Thur 23; Saturday matinees at 3pm
