Edinburgh Festival: Fringe round-up: Jimeoin and Bob's Cooking Show
Take a potato, an orange squeezer and an elasticated armband, and what have you got? Another of Jimeoin and Bob's bizarre Hollywood impressions is what. Their Cooking Show, as seen originally on Jimeoin's Australian TV show, is one of the dafter offerings on this year's Fringe, a riotous whirlwind of inventive props and ridiculous improvisation. Imagine Get Stuffed with laughs, and, of course, no recipes, with Jimeoin and Bob hamming it up as the Penn and Teller of cuisine. Imagine two overgrown kids batting popcorn into the audience with tennis rackets while a third sings "The Homes of Donegal", or a leering bloke eyeing up a potato in underpants with the comment "great arse". It gives a whole new meaning to spud-u-like.
