FASHION / The slip dress

The slip dresses around this summer may be beautiful, but if you don't have the limbs of a gazelle, your upper arms and shoulders may not be ripe for exposure. For once, fashion has provided the answer: a little short-sleeved T-shirt or vest underneath the skimpy bodice. Most of the slips come in silky prints that look good with baggy sweaters and cardigans and for an everyday look that started out rather unpromisingly, it has turned out surprisingly well.
