Blade Runner 2049- Official Trailer

A brand new trailer for Blade Runner 2049 has dropped and it's a beauty.

The follow-up to Ridley Scott's 1982 classic stars Ryan Gosling as K, an LAPD Officer who unearths a long-buried-secret which could plunge an already fractured society into chaos - which going by the clip involves an ominous Jared Leto.

It's this discovery which sees K's world collide with Rick Deckard, the character at the heart of the original played by a returning Harrison Ford.

“You're a cop,” Deckard tells K. “I had your job once - I was good at it.

Blade Runner 2049's supporting cast, including Robin Wright and Makenzie Davis, can also be seen int he trailer.

The film - set 30 years after the original - is directed by Denis Villeneuve (Arrival) and looks set to be yet another astonishing piece of art from cinematographer Roger Deakins.

Original screenwriter Hampton Green return to pen the script alongside Dave Green who is a co-writer on original director Scott's Alien: Covenant - our review of which you can read here.

Blade Runner 2049 arrives in UK cinemas on 6 October 2017.
