Brad Pitt's body double for World War Z got only £4.44 an hour

Scottish solicitor said: 'You get asked to do something like that and you can’t really say no'

While Brad Pitt was scooping £9 million for his role in zombie disaster film World War Z, his Scottish body double says he was getting only £4.44 an hour.

David Patterson, a 26-year-old Scottish solicitor, stood in as UN worker Gerry Lane for the flick, which took $66 million on its opening weekend last month.

Mr Patterson, from Lasswade, Midlothian, told the Daily Mirror he worked trying 18-hour days from 6am, and was told not to speak to the star.

He said: "I basically had to be Brad for the day and copy everything he did on screen.

"Brad was there the entire time, and they were filming over the course of months, so it must have been quite tough."

“I was paid £80 but it wasn’t anything to do with the money. I’m not too fussed about that.

Mr Patterson says he didn't even get an invite to the film's premiere, but that he's glad to have had the experience.

“You get asked to do something like that and you can’t really say no," he said.

“I didn’t get a VIP pass for the film, nothing like that at all, and I haven’t seen it yet. I walked away with around £80, no autograph and no VIP invites.”
