Fans eagerly awaiting news about Game of Thrones season five will be excited to see that a new website has launched along with a mysterious teaser video.

Despite the fantasy show’s return being a way off yet, a tweet from the official Game of Thrones account tells viewers to “Follow the Three Eyed Raven. Gain the power of #TheSight”.

The short clip hears Melisandre (Carice van Houten) telling Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) that she “sees a darkness” in her – an ominous line from season three which continues: “In that darkness, eyes staring back at me. Brown eyes, blue eyes, green eyes. Eyes you’ll shut forever. We will meet again.”

Old footage is seen, showing Arya lying in the darkness, stabbing a man with Needle and holding Jaqen H’ghar’s coin, before users are taken to website by clicking on a link.

Once there, you are invited to “receive visions of the future” by signing up for Twitter or text updates. Once that admin part is over, behold! “You now have the power of the sight. Keep watch for visions of the future”

But what could this mean? There are few hints to go on, but a season five trailer looks likely at some point soon.

For those who have not read George RR Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire novel series, on which Game of Thrones is based, the Three Eyed Raven is not due to appear in season five.

Season four saw Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright) pursue the Three Eyed Raven beyond the wall and finally meet him in the finale, but now, that part of the story has caught up with Martin's books.

Arya, meanwhile, is set to become a barbarous killer next series, as the "darkness" mentioned in the teaser video confirms.

HBO have not announced a return date for Game of Thrones but it is widely expected to hit TV screens in spring 2015.

Recently, leading cast members signed new contracts to take them through to season seven, providing they avoid being one of the many characters to meet their grisly fates.
