Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Hudson have named the actors they have shared the best and worst on-screen kisses with.

Hudson joined Paltrow on her Goop podcast where the pair discussed their leading male co-stars.

Paltrow asked Hudson to name her "best on-screen kisser", which actually prompted the actor to recall the worst.

She said that every time she had to kiss Matthew McConaughey on films including How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days and Fool's Gold, something ruined it.

'Every time I kissed McConaughey, I mean, it’s like there’s just something happening and there’s like snot, or wind," Hudson said.

"Honestly, I feel like I kind of haven’t had the best kissers," she continued, adding: "I feel like I should have had better ones."

She did admit that she enjoyed her kiss with Billy Crudup when shooting 2000 film Almost Famous, which recently celebrated its 20th anniversary.

While the moment was cut from the film, Hudson recalled that the actor "was good".

Paltrow remained tight-lipped on the identity of her favourite, but she did say that kissing Robert Downey Jr in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was odd.

"With Robert, like, when I kissed him, I was like, "You’ve got to be kidding me, this is literally like kissing my brother," she said.

The pair starred in seven Marvel films together from Iron Man (2008) up until 2019 blockbuster Avengers: Endgame.
