John Travolta’s turn as action hero Stanley Hill in I Am Wrath hasn’t blown anyone away. The role was originally intended for Nicolas Cage (of course) and see’s the Pulp Fiction star attempt to avenge the death of his wife - a classic male-led action plot.

It has since transpired that - although they have Travolta as their lead - the studio, Saban Films, has little faith in the project, releasing the film direct to DVD, with a limited cinema run to follow.

With posters for the film as well as the DVD case emerging online, I Am Wrath has turned some heads: why are there so many posters and why is each one so awful? Are these serious or spoofs of other films?

Flick through eight of the film’s posters below, via CineMagia.

There’s absolutely no discernible logo flowing throughout the posters, with many noting on Reddit how they use the same text as used in the promotional material for the likes of Mission Impossible, Jack Reacher, Taken and even The Division - the recently released videogame. There's also a black, white and red poster that seems to be going for a Tarantino-esque look.

Still tempted to buy the DVD? It’s out 16 May.
