Indian film 'My name is Khan' gets international Valentine’s Day release
Fox has announced international release dates for My name is Khan, India's first film that will release in around 40 countries worldwide.
The Valentine weekend in 2010 will see the film distributed by Fox Searchlight in the US and Fox Star Studios in India. Meanwhile 20th Century Fox will distribute the film in Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East.
The film revolves around Rizwan Khan, played by Indian star Shahrukh Khan, who gets detained in the US after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, by authorities mistaking his Asperger syndrome disability for suspicious behavior.
The film also reunites the much-loved screen couple Shahrukh Khan and Kajol, after their previous hits Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham ( Happiness and Tears) and Dilwale Dulhania le Jayenge (The big-hearted will win the bride).
