The story of King Arthur is one told so many times before, but has it ever been seen through the lens of someone quite like Guy Ritchie?

Absolutely not, so here's an Arthur "raised on the streets", as Sons of Anarchy's Charlie Hunnam delivers a fist-fighting, testosterone-pumping, rule-breaking take on the legendary monarch.

Comic-Con's Warner Bros. panel dropped the first trailer for King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, and from its very first shot - there's no doubting this is 100% a Guy Ritchie film. Take it or leave it.

Here's the synopsis:

The young Arthur runs the back passages of Londonium with his crew, not knowing his royal lineage until he grabs Excalibur. Instantly confronted by the sword’s influence, Arthur is forced to make up his mind.[further explanation needed] Throwing in with the Resistance and an enigmatic young woman named Guinevere, he must learn to master the sword, face down his demons and unite the people to defeat the tyrant Vortigern — who murdered his parents and stole his crown — and become king.

The film stars Charlie Hunnam as King Arthur, Àstrid Bergès-Frisbey as Guinevere, Jude Law as Vortigern, Djimon Hounsou as Bedivere, and Eric Bana as Uther Pendragon.

King Arthur: Legend of the Sword hits cinemas 24 March 2017.
