Sex and the City 3 'could happen', Jennifer Hudson says
The singer and actress said she had been in talks about a potential third film
Sex and the City fans brace yourselves – Jennifer Hudson has said that a third film could be on the cards.
The singer and Oscar-winning actress, who played Carrie’s (Sarah Jessica Parker) personal assistant Louise in the first two movies, as well as singing on the soundtrack, made the announcement during an interview with Dish Nation.
“I think it might be [happening]. I feel as though somebody just came to me talking about that, so if it’s in the talks it might happen,” she said.
“So look for it. Look for Louise from St. Louis.”
Rumours have long been circulating about a third possible spin-off of the Nineties/Noughties sitcom. Earlier this year, creator Michael Patrick King claimed there "are other stories to tell and characters that haven't even been written yet".
The original Sex and the City TV series came to an end on HBO in 2004, with a continuation of the plot coming in the form of a film version four years later and then a sequel in 2010.
The films received lukewarm reviews, but did well at the box office, grossing a total of $415,252,786 and $305,153,249 respectively.
