Shia LaBeouf denies ‘each and every allegation’ of abuse by FKA twigs

Singer accused LaBeouf of sexual battery, assault and infliction of emotional distress

Shia LaBeouf has denied “each and every allegation” made against him by FKA twigs after the singer accused him of “relentless abuse”.

In December, the British musician and actor filed a lawsuit against LaBeouf, accusing him of sexual battery, assault and infliction of emotional distress.

Responding to the lawsuit at the LA Superior Court on Wednesday (10 February), LaBeouf’s lawyers denied all of the allegations.

The lawyers said that the singer – real name Tahliah Barnett – had not “sustained any injury or loss” from LaBeouf and claimed that she was not entitled to any financial compensation.

He also denied that Barnett had a claim of sexual battery because “none of the acts alleged were based on sex and/or the conduct was not sexual”.

LaBeouf is asking for the case to be thrown out and for Barnett to pay his legal fees.

The Independent has contacted Barnett’s representatives for comment.

In response to the claims, LaBeouf admitted to his alcoholism and aggression, stating: “I’m not in any position to tell anyone how my behaviour made them feel. I have no excuses for my alcoholism or aggression, only rationalisations.”

However, he also claimed that “many” of the allegations made against him by Barnett and other former partners were untrue.

Earlier this week, it was reported that LaBeouf had parted ways with his talent agency CAA and is currently being treated at an inpatient facility.
