Eva Green is back in the sexy new monochrome trailer for Frank Miller’s forthcoming Sin City sequel, A Dame to Kill For.

Jessica Alba’s Nancy can be seen exotic dancing while Green’s femme fatale Ava is striking in blood-red lipstick, as Basin City’s thugs and dominatrixes gather nine years on for another savage crime thriller.

Fans can expect explosions, motorbikes, shattering glass ceilings, a ton of punches and regular passionate looks that tell us these lowlifes mean business.

“Outlaws will become heroes, in a city without justice,” captions in the teaser clip proclaim. “Sin City’s where you go in with your eyes open, where you don’t come out at all.”

Adapted from the graphic novels, A Dame to Kill For combines two stories into one dramatic movie that also stars Josh Brolin, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Mickey Rourke.

Huanted by the ghost of her lover John Hartigan, played by Bruce Willis, Nancy is hell bent on revenge, while Ava is the “dame” mentioned in the title.

“Looks like trouble,” says Nancy upon confrontation with some machine gun-brandishing baddies. “Looks like Christmas,” replies tough Marv, in a line that perfectly sums up Sin City’s glorification of violence.

Last month, a promotional poster for A Dame to Kill For picturing Green in a white chiffon bathrobe was banned in the US for “curve of under breast and dark nipple/aerola circle visible through sheer gown”.

Green told Vanity Fair that she finds the decision “ a bit odd” as she is “not actually naked on the poster”.

“You have so many more violent things in the movie business and this is kind of soft,” she said. “I find it really sexy, actually. It’s kind of beautiful. But if it shocks people, I don’t know what to do about it. I don’t want to upset anybody.”

Sin City: A Dame to Kill For hits UK cinemas on 29 August this summer.
