John Boyega makes cameo on the 2.40 Southeastern train to Orpington

It was just another Tuesday afternoon for passengers on the 2:40pm to Orpington when the voice of Star Wars actor John Boyega came over the tannoy.

Boyega decided to visit his sister at work and made announcements at each of the 15 stops on the train's journey from London Victoria.

The London-born actor uploaded a video to Instagram which shows him announcing the train has arrived at Penge East - a place his uncle calls "Penge-y East."

One of the train's passengers told the News Shopper: "All through the journey, John made about 15 announcements relaying stories about all the stops on the way.

"He told passengers that he would try to make sure that he use The Force to make the train go at light speed."

Boyega was even said to sing to passengers over the tannoy after sharing stories from the set of Star Wars.

Boyega first appeared in JJ Abrams' Episode VII - The Force Awakens as Finn alongside Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac and Harrison Ford. The character will next return in the as-of-yet untitled Episode VIII which will be directed by Rian Johnson (Looper).

Following that, he'll take the lead role as the son of Idris Elba character Stacker Pentecost in Pacific Rim 2.
