How did cinema's coolest dance sequence make it to screen?

With Tarantino's latest, The Hateful Eight, about to hit UK screens; here's a chance to look back to one of the most iconic moments in his filmography.

This behind-the-scenes clip shows Uma Thurman, John Travolta, and Tarantino all on set for the filming of the Jack Rabbit Slims twist contest. Thurman and Travolta's moves look just as cool off-screen as they do on; the same can't be quite said of Tarantino. Swept up in the scene's energy, the director loses himself to the jiving beats of Chuck Berry's "You Never Can Tell", pulling out some serious dad dancing moves in the process.

Hey, enthusiasm is what's important.

The Jack Rabbit Slims set ended up costing the heftiest portion of the film's budget, $150,000 out of its total $8.5M, built in a Culver City warehouse which also housed the film's production offices.

The Hateful Eight hits UK theatres 8 January.
