Worst On-Screen: The Golden Raspberry nominees

‘Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen’ and ‘Land of the Lost’ are this year’s contenders for Oscars spoof the Golden Raspberry Awards (Razzies) with seven nominations apiece.

The second Transformers flick is up for worst picture, worst director and worst actress (for Megan Fox as Mikaela Banes) despite grossing $109 million in its opening weekend.



While ‘Land of the Lost', which achieved nominal box-office success, is up for worst picture, worst actor (for Will Ferrell’s portrayal of Dr Rick Marshall), worst rip off, re-make or sequel and worst screenplay.



British heartthrob and star of the Twilight franchise Robert Pattinson has been nominated for worst supporting actor for New Moon, also forming a third of a Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner ménage a trois nominated for least convincing on-screen couple.



Sandra Bullock, hotly tipped to win an Oscar for ‘The Blind Side’, is up for a worst actress Razzie for her role in ‘All About Steve’, has the potential to make history by being the first actor to win both awards (which take place within 48 hours of each other) in the same week.



Hollywood veterans Steve Martin, Eddie Murphy and John Travolta are all up for worst actor while today’s Grammy queen Beyonce Knowles received a worst actress nomination for ‘Obsessed’.



Razzie president and founder John Wilson told press that 2009 was such terrible year for film that the awards body considered expanding the worst picture list from five to ten - with Twilight just missing a spot on the most abysmal five.



Worst nominees for the decade were also announced this year as it is the 30th anniversary of the awards, with Mariah Carey, Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan up for worst actress and Ben Affleck, Murphy and Travolta up for worst actor.
