Although the film kicks off like an awkwardly cheerful advert for condoms, the 127 minutes of football mania that follow are fairly enjoyable.
The story follows teen football manager Dudu, his young protégé Fabrice and his sister Beatrice, on an epic journey from their native Rwanda to the World Cup in Johannesburg.
This 'dream team' is helped on their quest by George, a child soldier, and Celeste, a child prostitute. Though somewhat clichéd, the children's naïve sense of hope, determination and courage ultimately win you over. A fun family film that never loses sight of its optimism, even when a harsher reality strikes.
