Julia Donaldson's charming children's book is enhanced in this lovingly made animation from the makers of The Gruffalo.
It's absurd that Gillian Anderson, David Walliams and Rob Brydon get to read out about two lines each for their characters, when in days past the wonderful Richard Briers would have voiced the lot. But, no matter, this is the beautifully paced tale of a witch, her animal friends and a hungry dragon (Timothy Spall).
