“I knew you had an off switch,” snaps Frank at his robot helper in Jake Schreier's poignant, low-budget drama, set in the near future. Frank (Frank Langella, excellent) is a former cat burglar living in seclusion.
The grouch is losing his memory and is finding it increasingly difficult to look after himself, so his put-upon son (James Marsden) buys him a costly robot to tend to his needs. The old rascal swiftly corrupts his shiny new pal. It's a clever idea, but you can't help but feel this could have been better.
