DVD: Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale, For retail & rental (Icon)
A revisionist take on the Santa Claus story which veers a long way from Arthur Christmas, this ghoulish Finnish oddity features some reindeer trappers who catch a strangely familiar feral old man with a long white beard.
It has some delicious ideas, a winning young hero, and some macabre moments to savour, but it's not quite scary enough to deliver as a horror film or funny enough to be a black comedy.
