DVD/Blu-ray: The Sting (PG)

Robert Redford and Paul Newman repeated the chemistry they established in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid with this hugely enjoyable con-man caper from 1973.

Redford plays Johnny, a hustler in 1932 Illinois who is out to avenge the death of his partner (Robert Earl Jones) who is murdered at the behest of Robert Shaw's criminal kingpin. So, he teams up with Paul Newman's master con man. It features a terrific Scott Joplin score, some exquisite cameos and an elegantly played-out sting.
