Two mismatched rookie cops – Jonah Hill's geek, Jenko, and Channing Tatum's handsome meathead, Schmidt – are assigned to go undercover at a high school to infiltrate a drugs ring.
Once there, the once wildly unpopular Jenko is embraced by the cool kids and the unreconstructed Schmidt is shunned for his ignorance. It's puerile, predictable and very redolent of Eighties teen comedies, but 21 Jump Street is also quite inspired and often very funny, particularly Ice Cube's captain and a cameo from Johnny Depp.
