Letter: As others see us

Sir: Britain's voters stand accused of apathy towards the European elections by both media and politicians. Perhaps if we were offered something better than the B-list of candidates currently on offer, then we might also take it more seriously.

How many Westminster MPs would stand down in favour of a Euro-seat? The few prominent politicians who have taken an interest in Europe have bypassed the European Parliament and landed genuinely powerful positions in the European Commission.
