Letter: Transplant `racism'
Sir: Your leading article of 8 July advocates cutting off noses to spite faces. If racist stipulations are spurned, the organ donations are lost (and so are similar donations in the future).
If accepted, patient A, who is white, gets a life-saving organ; two minutes later, in another hospital, patient B, coloured, gets the organ which would otherwise have gone to A. Result: two satisfied customers, not just one.
