Letter: Ulster Unionist folly
Sir: The whole resentment of the UUP, the SDLP and the DUP towards the peace process would be annihilated if Mr Blair's government withdrew the immense financial contribution to the Ulster purse. Since 1922 we on the mainland have poured untold monies into Ulster's hands, at the taxpayer's expense.
Cut the purse strings and let the Orange Order paddle their own canoe, or make peace. They share an island which has been abused by our ancestors, but the island should join together in prosperity and peace.
