Letter: Where was that?

Sir: Simon Conrad (letter, 26 November) is right about the deterioration in BT directory inquiries service. I ask for the phone number of national organisations and if I don't happen to know what city is involved, they get quite rude and won't help me. With new technology at their fingertips, this is unacceptable.
