Letter: Why we didn't vote
Sir: Andrew Grice writes ("Tory showing vindicates Hague line", 14 June) that the chances of a referendum on electoral reform for Westminster have receded following Labour's poor performance in the European elections. Why should this be so? According to the BBC's analysis, if Mr Blair had fought these elections under the old first-past-the-post system he would have lost even more seats.
