Brooklyn indie band The National hits one week as the most popular musical act in the blogosphere on April 1, according to The Hype Machine. New York dance-punk project LCD Soundsystem and Barcelona synth-pop band Delorean stay in second and third, while CocoRosie and The Tallest Man on Earth are new to this week's top ten list.

CocoRosie is a freak folk group formed by sisters Bianca "Coco" and Sierra "Rosie" Casady in 2003. The singers and their various backing musicians tour frequently and have released three studio albums. The fourth, Grey Oceans, is due out in May from Sub Pop Records. Bloggers are talking about CocoRosie's "Lemonade," the first track to come out from the upcoming album. Stereogum (stereogum.com ) writes, "I generally like the group best when they sound insular and emotionally naked but impenetrable and unexpectedly catchy. This one does that trick."

The Tallest Man on Earth, the moniker for Swedish folk musician Kristian Matsson, is due to release The Wild Hunt in April. Tracks from that album are being positively reviewed as they're passed around the blogosphere. Songs to Save (songstosave.blogspot.com) writes "His ferocious vocals have made him one the most unique voices since Dylan."
