Australian music festival announced, has just one female act in its line-up
Organisers have since claimed they will rectify their oversight with second lineup announcement
The outlook for female musicians seems to be improving across the festival circuit slowly but surely, enhanced somewhat by this year's Glastonbury line-up including more women than the festival has had in quite a while.
Unfortunately, the same can't be said for Australian festival Spilt Milk which announced its lineup last week (9 June)
Alongside announced acts Flume, Cosmo's Midnight and Sticky Fingers is singer-songwriter Vera Blue who, we're sure, didn't intend on flying the flag for an entire gender when signing up for the music festival.
You can check out a live performance from Blue below.
In all fairness to Spilt Milk's organisers, they have since reached out to Mashable Australia to suggest they will attempt to rectify this issue with its second lineup announcement.
Let's hope they pay attention to other successful female musicians including Courtney Barnett and Melissa Tkautz. Or, say, Sia.
Spilt Milk is due to take place in Canberra this December.
