Children in Need: Cher, Kylie Minogue and Robbie Williams join forces for charity cover of ‘Stop Crying Your Heart Out’

Lenny Kravitz, Nile Rodgers and Jess Glynne also appear on star-studded line-up

Cher, Kylie Minogue and Lenny Kravitz are among the singers lending their voices to this year’s Children in Need charity single.

A star-studded line-up of musicians has come together to perform a cover of Oasis’s “Stop Crying Your Heart Out” to raise vital funds for Children in Need.

Some of the biggest international artists in the business, including Cher, Minogue, Kravitz, Bryan Adams, Nile Rodgers, Gregory Porter, Ava Max and Lauv, will appear on the track.

They will be joined by a host of British musical favourites, made up of Robbie Williams, Jess Glynne, Mel C, Paloma Faith, KSI, Jay Sean, James Morrison, Jamie Cullum, Ella Eyre, Izzy Bizu, Clean Bandit, Jack Savoretti, Rebecca Ferguson and Yola.

The backing track was performed by the BBC Concert Orchestra alongside Clean Bandit’s Grace Chatto and former BBC Young Musician of the Year Sheku Kanneh-Mason on cello and Anoushka Shankar on sitar.

Speaking about the single, Cher said that she found the recording process to be “very emotional”.

Minogue said: “Children in Need is such a special charity and so loved by everyone, including me. It was a privilege to take part in this recording with so many amazing artists. This year it feels even more poignant than ever, and I hope we can all come together to raise as much as possible.”

The single, which was put together by BBC Radio 2, was recorded and filmed by artists in locations across the world, from Cher in Malibu to Robbie Williams in Switzerland to Jay Sean in New York and Yola in Nashville.

It will be released on Children in Need Day on Friday (13 November), with the video debuting during the live appeal show on BBC One that evening.

At least 50p from each download sale will benefit Children in Need.
