Kanye West brings his Sunday Service gospel choir to Paris Fashion Week

Kanye West has released a new track called “Wash Us in the Blood”, along with a video from artist Arthur Jafa.

The song also features Travis Scott, and production by Dr. Dre. The video includes clips from protests, as well as West’s Sunday Service rehearsals and his Saint Pablo tour.

“Wash Us in the Blood” is West’s first track since last year’s gospel album Jesus Is King and West’s Sunday Service Choir’s companion LP Jesus Is Born.

The new track is set to feature on West’s forthcoming album, which he has suggested will be titled “God’s Country”.

In an interview with GQ’s Will Welch earlier this year, West spoke about his desire to make religious music: “I was thinking of not rapping again, because I rapped for the devil so long that I didn’t even know how to rap for God.

“Then one of my pastors told me, ‘My son just said that he would want a rap album about Jesus from Kanye West.’ He didn’t say, ‘Kanye West, you should do this,’ or ‘you need to do this.’ He just told me something that a child said. And that one thing made the difference.”

Last week, West announced a 10-year collaboration with Gap called Yeezy Gap, which has been described as an affordable clothing line with “modern, elevated basics for me, women and kids at accessible price points”.
