Kendrick Lamar Brits performance marred by 'audio muted' issue

This year’s Brits were cause for much celebration, Jack Whitehall doing a surprisingly good job as host and the actual awards going to some excellent home-grown musicians.

Two performances from the evening stood out above the rest: one by Stormzy, who decided to lampoon Theresa May and the Daily Mail after winning British album of the year.

The other came from Kendrick Lamar, who performed “Feel” and “New Freezer” — a collaboration with Rich The Kid — while standing on a glass cage with a car inside and joined by cheerleaders.

Unfortunately, the performance was hit with technical difficulties as the audio was not working properly, leading to viewers at home seeing Kendrick lying down waiting for the sound to kick in for a significant amount of time.

Then, when the performance starter – at almost 10pm - ITV muted the majority of words due to profanity.

Still, Kendrick blasted through the songs while Rick The Kid smashed a sports car’s windshield.

Lamar — who has been playing a run of London shows — also picked up international artist at the ceremony. Catch up on everything from the Brits here.
