Most blogged artists: Gorillaz, RJD2, Kisses

British alternative/electronic act Gorillaz, whose studio album Plastic Beach is now available, is the most blogged musical act on March 8, according to The Hype Machine. Oxford, England indie dance-punk band Foals is number two on the list, followed by RJD2, an American producer, singer, and instrumentalist.

Philadelphia resident RJD2 released the album Colossus in January, and it is the remix of his track "The Shining Path" by Alan Wilkis that is now being shared by music bloggers. The Boy With the Thorn in His Side (www.billysuede.com) writes "Quickly becoming the go-to guy for remixes among the indie sector, Wilkis has a knack for retaining the integrity of the original track but adding just enough flavour to make the interpretation fresh and worth listening to. His latest victim is RJD2, a most worthy adversary."

Also hitting a top spot in the blogosphere is Kisses, a disco-pop duo from Los Angeles, California whose dreamy track "Bermuda" is making its way around the blogosphere. Tracasseur (www.tracasseur.com) reviews, "Love at first listen!" while The New Gay (thenewgay.net) calls the track "an almost perfect pop song." "Bermuda" will be released as a single, accompanied by a remix, in late April.
