NME Awards voting continues

Voting for the Shockwaves NME Awards 2010 continues into January, with those casting a vote still eligible to win tickets to the event's warm-up party.

Album and single sales are irrelevant as fans get to have their say on the music of the last 12 months.



The awards categories are:

Nominees will be announced at an awards warm-up party at The Tabernacle on 25th January, where The Maccabees will perform live. Anyone who votes in the awards can win tickets to the event and celebrate with the the artists nominated.

The winners will be announced at the Shockwaves NME Awards on 24th February at the O2 Academy Brixton. The event will be packed with the who’s who of the music world, with performances from the top acts of the past 12 months.

Due to high demand for tickets, NME has introduced a Glastonbury-style registration process this year. Go to www.nme.com/awardstickets to register. Those successful will be notified from January 24th, with tickets limited to two per person, priced £15 plus booking fee.
