The lead singer of pop punk band The Story So Far was caught on camera dropkicking a female fan off stage after she attempted to take a selfie.

The video was recorded at the outfit's show at Toronto's Mod Club Theatre on 10 April, as the band were performing the track "High Regard". The incident in question takes place around the 0.34 mark, in which singer Parker Cannon is seen kicking the woman in the back, causing her to fall face-first into the crowds below.

For a band that so vigorously labels itself a "punk", stage invasions should be a fairly normal procedure; yet, though several members of the crowd are seen climbing onstage, it's only the girl in question who is so violently ejected.

Cannon appears to have somewhat of a philosophy which equates selfie-taking with violent punishment; the singer did the same in a concert last June, kicking a concertgoer at a Houston performance.

Billboard now reports the band have been banned from the Canadian venue where the incident occured. "On behalf of the venue we are appalled by the actions of the singer and do not condone these actions by anyone," Mod Club's general manager Jorge Dias stated.

"There was no report of injuries and the venue will not allow the band to play the venue again for their actions. I have never imagined and never seen anything like that at the venue in 14 years in operation. That was a very cowardly act."

The band's management have been reached for comment, but have yet to respond.
