The Black Eyed Peas announce E.N. D. tour dates
Three-time Grammy Award winners, The Black Eyed Peas announced dates for The E.N.D. World Tour 2010, with the North American portion kicking off in the US city of Atlanta, Georgia at Philips Arena on February 4, 2010, and concluding on April 11 at GM Place in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
Tickets go on sale December 12 for the North American leg of the 100-date tour. In May the act heads to Europe and the UK to continue the tour.
The Black Eyed Peas have sold more than 27 million records worldwide. The tour is in support of their multi-platinum #1 album, The E.N.D, featuring the consecutive number one singles, "Boom Boom Pow" and "I Gotta Feeling."
Apparently the dance sound on this latest release was influenced by club music that Will.i.am heard in Australian clubs when he was shooting X-Men Origins: Wolverine. BEP member Taboo also recently played a film role in Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li.
The Peas performed at the Grammy Awards Nominee Show, and plan, no doubt, to appear at the Grammy Awards Show on January 31.
There will be several "green" elements with the tour, presumably biodiesel fuel in the tour bus. The act insists the title does not mean the END of the group. It refers to the end of that rumor, the end of an era, and 'Energy Never Dies.'
