Gritty blues rockers The Black Keys have announced five UK tour dates for 2015.

The Howlin’ for You singers have added the leg after a successful performance at this year’s Glastonbury Festival and five days before they headline Latitude in Suffolk.

The Turn Blue world tour will showcase the band’s album of the same name - their latest and eighth - which was released in May.

Nashville-based duo Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney will visit: Manchester (27 February); Birmingham (28 February); Glasgow (1 March); London (3 March); and Leeds (5 March).

Tickets for the shows will go on sale this Friday 18 July at 9am.

The pair are credited with creating one of the best albums of 2011, El Camino, a year after the album Brothers catapulted them to household names.

The two will commence an epic tour of North America in September which runs until late December. After which, they will continue on into Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Poland, the Netherlands and Belgium before reaching the UK.

After announcing the news on the band's social media pages, many fans replied showing disappointment that they weren't performing in other cities such as Newcastle, while others bemoaned the size of the stadiums - one of which is the London O2 arena - as "souless."
