Watch Salman Rushdie recite Drake lyrics
I WAS RUNNING. THROUGH THE. SIX. WITH MY PROSE.
Salman Rushdie, The Satanic Verses author and surprise Drake fan, has recited some of the 6 Man's lyrics for no apparent reason, and it's wonderful.
CBC asked him to read out some of Drizzy's best known verses, from tracks like 'Know Yourself', '6 God', '6PM in New York' and Rihanna collab 'What's My Name?'.
The Booker Prize winner likes .Know Yourself. the best (who doesn't), saying of the line 'Pray the real live forever man, pray the fakes get exposed': "I like that one."
He also admired Drake's quoting of Marilyn Monroe in 'What's My Name?'.
"I think it's kind of great that he quotes Marilyn Monroe - when she posed in the nude and she was asked if she had nothing on and she said 'I had the radio on'."
I hope this is part of a series, I need to see Sir Patrick Stewart reciting Young Thug.
