I've got a lot of lines, an awful lot of lines. The part of Captain Reality in Hearts on Fire is another lead role for me, the biggest one I've ever taken. The message is the clash between the good, which is the cosmic crew, versus the evil, which is me. It's about the arts and disabilities, about people who have learning difficulties versus people who might say things about them behind their back. It's about power and control. We all want respect and we should all respect each other.

We have done eight shows since we started in 1986. The best part is the travelling and the hotels. We have not been all over England, only half of it. We've been to all sorts of different countries, Denmark, France, Greece, Holland and Belgium. Luxembourg was the best. There were 1500 people one night. So many it was unbelievable - the fans were going crazy over us. We couldn't stop, they wanted more and more. I don't get stage-fright because I'm used to the stage although I found it easier to be an actor when I was younger. It would be good to go to America. We're doing a big festival in Brussels in May and with luck that could give us the chance to do a proper tour of the States.

We have all got a disability in the group, and I think we are changing people's attitudes. The message I have for people is come and see the show, and bring your friends.

Geoffrey Goodall is a founder member of Heart 'n' Soul Theatre Company, the only professional company uniting performers with both physical and learning difficulties. Its latest production 'Hearts on Fire' premieres at The Albany Empire, Douglas Way, London SE8, 9-12 Mar (071-694 1632) and will tour nationally later in the year
