Radio: Pick of the Day

THIS WEEK'S surreal episode of Audio Diaries (11.30am R4) sees a family moving from a Devon farm to a flat on the Isle of Dogs to "get away from it all."

Today's Afternoon Play (2.15pm R4) stars Siobhan Redmond (right) and is set in a remote Chinese province in 1895. This, the first of three plays, is based on the diaries of Lady McCartney, wife of the British consul in Kashgar.
