Don Henley: Solo albums I Can't Stand Still (1982) and Building The Perfect Beast (1985) both reach US Top 10. Still under contract, still writing, recording and touring.

Timothy B Schmit: Two solo albums - Playing It Cool (1984) and Timothy B (1987) - fail to make it into the US Top 100. Two years ago, he and Frey joined Henley on stage at his concert in Massachusetts (the closest thing to an Eagles reunion). Still active on the LA session scene.

Randy Meisner: Quit the group in 1977, two solo albums - One More Song (1978, chronicles his last days with the group; features Frey and Henley on vocals) and Randy Meisner (1982) - reach US number 50 and 94 respectively. Formed largely unsuccessful Black Tie with Billy Swan and James Griffin in 1990. Now living in Nebraska.

Bernie Leadon: Quit in 1975, formed The Bernie Leadon/Michael Georgiades Band in 1977, their Natural Progressions album reached US Number 91. Spent most of the Eighties in The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.

Joe Walsh: No solo career beyond the single 'Life's Been Good', released while still in the group (1978, reached UK Number 14). Current whereabouts unknown.

Don Felder: Airborne (1983), his only solo album, reaches US 176. At the time he professed he'd much rather have remained an Eagle; stayed in demand for his slide guitar skills.
