TODAY: The Duke of York attends the closure of HMS Osprey, Portland, Dorset. Prince Edward opens the indoor sports facilities at the Meadows Sports Centre, Ellon, Aberdeenshire; and, as Patron, Haddo Arts Trust, attends the Haddo House Rugby Festival 98 at Haddo House, Aberdeenshire, and attends a concert for the Haddo Arts Trust in Haddo House Hall. TOMORROW: The Duke of York attends the morning service and opens the Parish Centre at St James's Church, Weybridge, Surrey. Princess Alexandra pays an official visit to the Sultanate of Oman.

TODAY: The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am. TOMORROW: The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 10am; the Queen's Colour Squadron Royal Air Force mounts the Queen's Guard, at Buckingham Palace, 11.30am, band provided by the Scots Guard.
