South Bank Picture Show (Festival Hall, 071-921 0600, Wed to 24 Jan). The sixth of these increasingly impressive annual displays, open to both amateur and professional artists and with a pounds 500 People's Prize for the most popular work. The 100 paintings on show and on sale are inevitably a mixed lot, but none is expensive.

Paula Rego (Marlborough Gallery, 071-629 5161, to 30 Jan). Subtitled 'Peter Pan and Other Stories', these are ink-and-watercolour variants on Rego's recent painted canvases on folkloric themes, now with far too much emphasis on children's book illustration and arch references to artists of the past, including Picasso and Wright of Derby.

Lea Andrews (Camerawork, 081-980 6256, until 20 Feb). First one-person show by the Slade photographer, using large-scale montages of himself as child and adult to make an autobiographical illustration.
