One Touch of Venus (Barbican, 071- 638 8891, today, 4.30pm). Broadway musical by Kurt Weill, written in 1943 to lyrics by Ogden Nash and never recognised for its true worth in Britain - which is why it features in this Barbican 'Discovery' series. Semi-staging, repeated on the next three Sundays.

David Sawer Premiere (Albert Hall, 071-823 9998, Tues). Byrnan Wood, first large-scale orchestral score from the British composer who made his mark in last year's Proms with a choral fantasy on wartime love songs. The title, after Shakespeare, signifies a moving forest - or an exercise in camouflage, which is the structural idea that rules the piece.

Tennstedt/LPO (Albert Hall, Thurs). The oddest programme in the Proms, starting as a solo organ recital (James O'Donnell playing Bach) and ending as bleeding chunks of full orchestral Wagner under Maestro T.

Joshua Bell, Steven Isserlis, Ollie Mustonen (Snape Maltings, 0800 585789, Fri). Three of the world's finest young virtuosi assemble for piano trios by Beethoven, Ravel, Schumann in the BT Proms.
