AFTER Angels in America comes Angels from America - a World Aids Day Gala in aid of Crusaid. Held at the Shaftesbury Theatre, London, on Sunday, the show will be music led, with singers Sam Harris, Melba Moore and Barbara Cook. The highlight will be a mini-musical by Armistead (Tales of the City) Maupin, directed by Simon Callow. Shaftesbury Theatre, London WC2, 28 Nov, 7.30pm. WINNER of the 1993 Linbury Prize for Stage Design is Franziska Wilcken. The award is a cash prize plus a professional design commission. Wilcken will design a production for West Yorkshire Playhouse and the two runners up, Scott Sellers and Lakis Yenethli, will design for the Gate Theatre and the Birmingham Royal Ballet respectively. The work of all 15 finalists is on display in the Lyttelton circle foyer at the National Theatre.
