An update of the 1977 recording of "Little Drummer Boy/Peace on Earth," a duet with David Bowie and Bing Crosby, has been posted on the College Humor website. This animated version features cartoons of Jack Black ( Tropic Thunder) and Jason Segel ( I Love You, Man), who both appear in the upcoming Gulliver's Travels.
It starts with a conversation about borrowing some ginger from Black's bushel. Jason sits down at the Black family ivories to play a classic holiday carol. The two then launch into song.
Originally recorded for Crosby's 1977 television special Bing Crosby's Merrie Olde Christmas, the song was previously parodied by Willie Nelson and Stephen Colbert, host of The Colbert Report, for the show's holiday special.
The Black and Segel song is downloadable on iTunes.
