** Spoilers for Game of Thrones season six episode nine **

So, it finally happened. The evil, dastardly, villainous Ramsey died, eaten alive by his dogs in an act of vengeance by Sansa Stark.

Unfortunately, it also means we have to say goodbye to Iwan Rheon, who did a terrific job at uniting fans in their hatred for a single person. However, he isn’t too sad about it as, like the rest of the world, he agrees the Bolton bastard should meet an untimely death.

“It’s kind of right he goes down,” the actor told EW. “Because what else is he going to do after this? He’s done so many things. It’s justified and it’s the right thing to do. It’s the right path. He’s reached his peak. It’s nice for the audience that he goes out on this high, if you will.”

Talking about how Ramsey would have won if it weren’t for the knight’s of the Vale, he added: “I’m glad it happens as a fan of the show. Jon Snow needs to win because otherwise there’s no hope left in the world. But it is interesting that it isn’t fair.

“And afterward, Ramsay still thinks he’s won. He’s so arrogant and self-assured he thinks he’ll still be fine — until the last minute. He always thinks he’s going to be okay.”

In another interview, the actor also spoke about his character’s similarities to Jon Snow, who - as you now know - won the ‘Battle of the Bastards’.

Meanwhile, in the same episode, two romances were teased (one of which was more a bromance).
