Game of Thrones season 7: Sansa Stark actor Sophie Turner shuts down Littlefinger fan on Twitter

It's refreshing to see an actor this invested in their TV show character

Game of Thrones concluded its seventh season last weekend but fans are still reeling over several of the events to have rocked the finale.

One such moment saw the Stark children unite to end the life of one of the HBO fantasy series' biggest characters.

*Spoilers follow - you have been warned*

After a season of teasing, the season seven finale saw the end of Petyr “Littlefinger” Baelish after Sansa, Bran and Arya brought the character's betrayal and manipulations to light before slitting his throat with the very dagger he handed over to them numerous episodes before - a fitting end to a character who played the titular game of thrones rather disgustingly.

Not everyone agreed with how Littlefinger went out, it seems, a fact which sparked the ire of Sansa actor Sophie Turner. After Twitter user @HannahLoren11 expressed how she believed the character had never brought harm to Sansa, Turner felt the urge to reply, writing: “Nah.. just willingly sold her to the Boltons…. Who killed her family… who ended up torturing her… but ur right.. no harm done.“

That same Twitter user replied, offering her own spin on Littlefinger's schemes - that he assisted in the murder of Joffrey, gave back Winterfell to the Starks and helped Jon win the Battle of the Bastards. Turner, again, was not satisfied.

“Because Sansa asked him to (and agreed because he loves her)… because he owed her… for selling her to the boltons… need I say more?”

It's nice to see actors as invested in their character's storylines as Turner clearly is with Sansa's.

Game of Thrones has one final season to go and it's looking like it'll air in 2019 to ensure showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss do th ebets job they can.
